How to Fix WIFI problems on a MAC OS X Computer - Yosemite

• Here are some Quick fixes you can try if your WIFI is down on your MAC OS X computer.

• Step 1

• Ensure your wireless connection is on and the right wifi is selected on your Mac computer.

• Step 2

• Check all connections on your computer and cable modem. If a plug is loose or has been pulled out tighten it up.

• Step 3

• Reboot your cable modem and or wireless router. 

• Step 4

• If there has been a cable problem in your area, reboot the modem in order to re-establish a connection.

• Step 5

• Make sure you are within range of your router if your having ongoing range issues you may need an extender. Here is one on Amazon

• Step 6

• Reboot your computer and all computers connected.

• Check your cable TV connection - If it’s down call your cable company

• then choose Diagnostics and run through it.

• If your wifi is still down you may need to replace some hardware.
